As a form of introduction, I'm Professor Fred Villacampa. I am an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business and have been teaching at St. Petersburg College since 2011.

Professionally I have over thirty years of Human Resources experience in various capacities including Benefits Administrator, Human Resources Director, Benefits Communications consultant. This high level of Human Resources experience allows me to present and explain HR material to students from a hand-on perspective.
My teaching philosophy is that higher education is a means to prepare students for life’s challenges and opportunities. It prepares the student to succeed in future years due to their planning, preparation and drive. The application of educational experiences in a higher education setting is most effective when it is coupled with the student’s life and work experiences. The ability to get along with others, to communicate in a group environment, being a member of a team, the ability to follow and challenge concepts and ideas are learned as we grow from childhood, but then are shaped when merged with what has been learned in a classroom setting. Higher education can assist in providing answers to the reasons why we behave the way we do, how and why we select a course of action to a given situation, how we can communicate a concept to a group of listeners when the concept may not be popular or easily understood.
At a personal level I have been married to my wife for over 45 years, have four married children and eleven grandchildren. I am fluent in Spanish which is my native language.
