Dr. Snellenburg PT, DPT is a full-time faculty member at St Petersburg College Physical Therapist Assistant program.   Kirsten graduated with a degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1998 and St. Augustine University in 2008.  Kirsten is licensed both in the state of Florida and New York.  Kirsten graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Eckerd College in 1986. 
Kirsten has over 23 years of clinical experience in outpatient, SNF, and home health settings.    As a private practice owner for 13 years, Kirsten was responsible for evaluating and treating orthopedic, pelvic, neurological, balance, and vestibular patients as the Clinical Director.  She served as the CCCE in the outpatient private practice that she owned for 13 years. Kirsten received her FPTA clinical educational certificate in 1999 and completed the SPC online teaching certification course in 2015.  She currently practices as a part-time physical therapist in the outpatient setting and in-home settings.
Kirsten's experience includes serving as a contributing author in the published textbook: Shamus, E., & Shamus, J. (2001). Sports injury: Prevention & rehabilitation. Additional volunteer work includes being the On-Site Physical Therapist Director for the 49er’s World Championships, February 2016 here in Clearwater, Florida.
Kirsten also teaches continuing education courses in manual therapy in the Tampa Bay area that include soft tissue mobilization and myofascial release.   Kirsten runs a monthly visceral manipulation study group in St. Petersburg, which practitioners from the Tampa Bay and Orlando area attend.
