My favorite place is Brooklyn, New York, with amazing diversity and over 2 million people, a wonderful place to live, work & play.  My degree in Political Science is from Brooklyn College, City University of New York, which afforded me the opportunity to concentrate studies on the Middle East.

Prior to that I worked in the retail industry in New York City & Chicago, managing & manufacturing women’s clothing in USA & Asia.  In Chicago, I managed women’ s departments, and we completed an intensive competitor study leading to the designer Halston creating fashion for our stores. 

My teaching philosophy focuses on critical thinking, discussions and writing, creating a learning environment where students work out concepts, trends and ideas about government and society.  My teaching experience includes American Government, International Relations, Global Issues, Political Theory & Comparative Government.

I was born & raised in the Midwest, Ohio & Michigan, and lived in NYC for 17 years.  My personal interests are antiques, exercise, music, reading, sustainable community development (including health care, education & transportation), and our animal friends.
