Biography

Adam Smith has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration. He is a registered radiology technologist that has gone on to get his (BA) in Business Management, and an (MBA) with a focus in both Management and Finance. As a healthcare administrator, he has hands on experience with the day to day challenges of running a successful operation in today's dynamic economic environment. He has training in Six Sigma, leadership techniques, and financial accountability tools. On a more personal note, Adam has lived in the Tampa Bay area for the past 20 years. He participates in many volunteer opportunities in the community, and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.

Teaching Philosophy:

"I believe that the learning experience is a very fluid process. At any time, the roles of the teacher and the student can be interchanged. This holds true when the class shares real life experiences that compliment the text. Since everyone learns in different ways and at a different pace, I feel that it is important to provide a core curriculum that includes independent learning activities, class/group learning, optional supplemental activities for those needing additional examples, and accessibility for students to receive individual assistance as needed."
