I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing at University of South Florida. I have been an adjunct faculty member for the College of Nursing Level 4 since 2015 and a fulltime facutly instructor since 2018. I have changed my status to Adjunct this past semester. My work expereince includes 30 years with experience in rehab, cardiac/telemetry, and ortho/neuro.  My educational experience includes  serving as a faculty educator for staff development at Largo Medical Center and conducting simulations for level 4 nursing. I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International  Honor Society. I have recently achieved certification for healthcare simulation or CHSE. I love to teach interactively and I am very devoted to St. Petersburg College and the nursing profession.  I have a wonderful husband and four children who I enjoy spending all of my free time with. My interests are gardening and healthful nutrition and oil painting on surf boards.
Teaching Philosophy:
My passion is to provide the tools for student success by using a variety of teaching methodologies. I am committed to devoting my career to providing students with the tools they need to be successsful in the nursing program, and helping students achieve successful completion of the NCLEX exam. Nursing is life long learning; I am devoted to helping nurses to provide safe and compassionate care.
As your instructor, I will:
•         Log into this course throughout the semester, every work day from the first day of the course through the last day of the course.
•         Provide you with updates via Course Mail or Announcements as needed
•         Respond to all course mail and voice mail messages within 24 hours Monday through Friday and within 48 hours during the weekend.

•         Notify you in advance if I will be out of contact for more than two days.
•         Have your assignments and exams graded within 7 business days.
