Dr. Lisa Roghaar joined St. Petersburg College in 2014.  She has previously taught at the University of Texas at Austin, Emerson College in Boston, and the University of Georgia.  Her B.A. and M.B.A. are from the University of Miami, and her Ph.D. is in Speech and Interpersonal Communication from UT-Austin.  Her educational interests include interpersonal and family communication, business and professional communication, and gender issues in communication.  Dr. Roghaar recently moved from  the Tampa Bay area, where she lived for 12 years, to the Gainesville suburb of Newberry, Florida.  She is married with three young adult children--two graduated and working in their chosen professions (Finance and Elementary Education) and one still in college.
