Dr. Michael Poulin is an Academic Department Chair and the EPI Coordinator for College of Education at St. Petersburg College.   Dr. Poulin teaches courses in Curriculum, Educational Psychology, Assessment, Ethics, Career & Technology Education, and Information Technology and is the Academic Advisor for the Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) Program. 

Dr. Poulin has taught at the college level for over 20 years.  He previously served on the Board of the college’s Center for Teaching Excellence. Prior to coming to St. Pete, Dr. Poulin developed educator preparation standards, frameworks, and examination questions in the areas of business, information technology, and technology education for teacher certification tests in 14 states across the country.  Previously, he taught business education at the secondary level for eight years, math and language arts for four years at a private school, and has also worked in the private sector in the areas of management, marketing, and instructional technology. 

Dr. Poulin and his wife have three boys.  In addition to spending time with family, he enjoys participating in sports and traveling.
