Professor Alanna Olah
Alanna Olah has worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for over 20 years. She is a native Floridian and attended University of Central Florida for both Bachelors(Psychology, BA) and Masters(Hospitality & Tourism Management, MS) degrees.
Most recently she taught Hospitality Management as a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The majority of her industry experience is in lodging and restaurant management. She has worked in almost every position in restaurants from dishwashing to General Manager to Regional Beverage Director. Her hotel experience includes risk management and food safety systems management. She has also been an auditor for brand standards and food safety with Steritech.
Her expertise is in beverage management and food safety sanitation including risk management. She is a certified Servsafe Instructor/Proctor/ Food Protection Manager, and Level 1 Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
She has two rescue dogs that love to go for walks.
