Lisa Inserra has a Masters in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned a 4.0 grade average and received the award for Outstanding Film and Television graduate. She is also an Adobe Certified Expert in After Effects, is a Certified Technical Trainer with CompTIA, and is certified by the New Teaching Institute for online instruction.
Her films have been seen in curated festivals nationwide, and on public and commercial television.
In 1996, she founded VOX Theatre Company in New York City producing plays, fine art, and poetry events, curated new play festivals, and she mediated acting and playwriting labs.
Upon moving to Pinellas County, Lisa served as the Public Access Cable Manager for Pinellas County's public access station, "Access Pinellas," where she produced community programming and taught video production classes including producing, editing, remote camera production, and three camera studio production, and provided county participants with individual guidance in scriptwriting, and acting for television.
She worked as a Broadcast Producer with Cox Target Media where she produced, shot, edited and distributed training, B to B and B to C videos for the national franchise network. She also produced and directed live-streamed webcasts to the national franchise network.
She has gone on to teach Film and Video Production at numerous colleges and universities including University of North Carolina, Duke University, and University of Tampa where she teaches Digital Media and Design for Communications, Media Aesthetics, and Creativity. She is also a published poet with the Tampa Bay Area Writer's Project.
