I am an Adjunct Professor at SPC, teaching Environmental Science and Earth Science. For the last 25 years, I have worked in the field of Environmental Policy, Assessment and Remediation in capacities ranging from soil sampling to hazardous waste management to crafting local policy. I have an A.S.in Environmental Technology from Stark State College in Ohio, and a B.S. and M.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from USF - St. Petersburg. I've lived in North Carolina, Texas and Ohio, but have called Florida home since 2006. My past work experience includes furniture mover, bartender, landscaper, FEMA Contractor, metal fabricator, air quality consultant, demolition site manager, compliance specialist, Health and Safety auditor, Environmental Technician and most recently teaching at SPC since 2017 and serving as the Mayor of Gulfport FL since 2013. I try to make my classes entertaining, relevant and engaging, and offer a good mix of academic and professional life experience to the learning process.
