My career in Health Information Management began over 50 years ago. I graduated from AHIMA- Independent Study Program in 1992, and St.Petersburg College in 2001. I have worked in hospitals, Nursing Homes and Physician Offices. My teaching philosophy is to assist the student in succeeding in their chosen field, whether it be Health Information Management or where ever their interests lie. By showing the "whole picture", I believe that the student will gain a better understanding of the subject. Outside of the classroom, my interests are varied as well. I enjoy outdoor activities with my husband of 43 years including bicycle riding and exploring our nature trails.
