Mrs. Megan Fields
I am a passionate public health specialist that has over 10 years of international and domestic experience. I have spent the majority of my career working with underserved and marginalized communities affected by HIV/AIDS. I have developed, planned, and implemented sustainable health projects relying heavily on my experience in leadership and community mobilizing. In my role as a public health program associate, I focused on dissemination best practices while increasing reach and impact of HIV, HCV, TB, and STD research to state and local agencies. Working with the World Health Organization, I designed and tested an evaluation rubric to monitor a national program to improve child health. Most importantly, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life and working towards health equity for all individuals. In addition to working as an Adjunct Faculty at St. Petersburg College, I serve as a Federal Program Officer at the CDC Foundation in Atlanta, GA.
A little about me personally: I have twin boys and I enjoy doing anything and everything outdoors!
I believe in kindness and accountability. I hope to emphasize these values as teacher and leader at SPC.
