Hello, I am Professor Vanessa Fanfan Benjamin,
I am one of Saint Petersburg College's nursing instructors. I have been a nurse for a little over eleven years. I specialized in cardiac, neurology and OB. I have a master’s degree in nursing education, and absolutely love teaching. My professional goal is to become a better asset to my community by positively impacting my patients' and students' lives.
I am originally from Haiti, and moved to Florida since the year 2000. i am happily married to a wonderful man with whom i have 2 amazing children. I have 2 siblings, 3 nephews, one niece and lots of uncles, aunts and cousins. We are a pretty tight knit family. Most of my free time is spent with them. I also spend a good portion of my free time volunteering at the Ronald McDonald house and mentoring high school youth.
I enjoy quite a few activities that help me relieve stress. I sing and write, i love to listen to music and dance. I also enjoy kickboxing, swimming and jet skiing.
Life is a beautiful gift that should never be taken for granted. I am a Christian woman and live by the golden rule "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you". Put your best foot forward every day, and remember, you are never fully dressed without a smile.
