Welcome to Biology!


Hi you'all,
I am honored to be your facilitator and host for this exciting journey in Biology. I am in Crystal Beach, FL that is in the Tampa Bay area about 1 block from the Gulf of Mexico where the sharks are (however, I haven't swim into any in 33 years yet). I have a BS from the U. Louisville, MS from Murray State U. and Ph. D. from U. Southern Mississippi in Biology. I have 34 years in the field as a fish hatchery manager in Mississippi, Illinois, and Florida. I am a Certified Fisheries Professional Emeritus, Certified Senior Ecologist, and Certified Open Water Scuba Diver. I've been to 44 of our 50 states including Alaska & Hawaii, Europe, Middle East (twice), Grand Canyon & Niagara Falls three times, and to most of the Caribbean. I also have a 4th degree Black Belt in judo. I enjoy playing Pickleball a couple times per week. I spend most of summers in Maggie Valley, NC. 

I have been teaching for over 20 yrs. either online or F2F. I volunteer in the Water Quality Department at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. I also consult for Aquasol International that does aquaponics all over the world. Most of all, I'm a Christian active in my church and community. So I bring a lot of experiences to add to the knowledge in this subject. Feel free to email me, or chat with me before or after class.  I am here to serve you!
