Hi everyone,
Just a few fun facts about me. I'm a graduate of Cumberland School of Law and I was in practice for over 30 years. I received my undergraduate degree from Florida State University, but, prior to attending FSU I attended St. Petersburg College when it was known as St. Petersburg Junior College. I received my A.A. degree from SPJC.
I operated my own law practice for a number of years and joined SPC as a full-time instructor/law professor in 2007. During my years of practicing law I was a trial attorney and very involved with the juvenile dependency system representing children and foster-parents.
I founded a non-profit organization for children, "Children's Best Interest First, Inc." which focuses on placing the child's interest ahead of the parents for juvenile dependency issues. Our goal is also to revamp the dependency system by changing the legislation.
I retired as a full-time instructor in December 2022 and I'm honored to be teaching part-time as an adjunct instructor now. I live in Oklahoma where I purchased and have been homesteading 14 acres. I have a significant online presense and business so I bring that knowledge to my business law classes as well.
I'm excited to be teaching and I hope we can learn from one another.
