When not teaching, I work as an Environmental Scientist at a private consulting firm called Applied Ecology, Inc. I am responsible for working on projects to improve water quality. I also have experience with coastal vegeration surveys, seagrass and benthic monitoring, and red tide identification.

In my limited free time, I enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, tending to my 60+ plants, and spending time with my two fluffy cats.
