Bonjour !

My name is Diane Corneloup-Grant. I am a French-American citizen and met my American husband in France where we lived for some time before moving to Nashville, then to Singapore and to Shanghai. We now live in Florida. We have three sons who are grown-ups now.

Having had to follow my husband all around the world, I decided to become a French teacher, as I had always dreamt to be since childhood!

I took my Master’s Degree in teaching French and have been teaching ever since, in Europe, America  and Asia. I taught in American, Canadian and International Schools and Universities,  as well as in International Business Schools. I have also worked helping migrants arriving in France to settle down there.

I love to learn about different cultures and languages and I am always travelling in order to discover various parts and people of the world. All this started up when I was born and that my parents moved to Africa, where I stayed and grew up until I was 18 years old. I am now particularly interested in Chinese language and culture and I am still studying Mandarin.

My goal as a teacher is to help my students broaden their horizon and go beyond frontiers, thanks to learning a new language, which in my case is teaching them French ! Not only I want them to know how to understand, speak, read , write the language and know more about French culture and civilization, but I also want them to know about other French speaking countries, their history and the interactions with the rest of the world !
I am always looking forward to meeting new students !!!

My education :
Master’s Degrees in French and in English – University of Grenoble – France
Graduate Studies (Arts of Teaching French) – Middle Tennessee State University
Officer and Examiner of French as a Foreign Language Diploma - France
Languages : Mandarin HSK3 Diploma – Spanish level B2 – Japanese and Arabic notions
