Dr. Robert R. Calabrisi is an esteemed educator and retired United States Army officer with an extensive career in government service, healthcare, and academia. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Saint Petersburg College and holds a virtual position with the United States government while residing in Dunedin, FL.

With a distinguished military career spanning over 24 years, Dr. Calabrisi began his service in 1976 working in the pharmacy for the United States Army. Eight years later, he was commissioned as an Ordnance Officer. Following his retirement from the military, he continued his service with the Department of Veterans Affairs, marking his 50th year in government service.

Dr. Calabrisi holds a Doctorate in Information Systems and Communications and a Master of Science degree specializing in Health Education and Promotion. His expertise includes working with advanced automation systems such as the computerized patient record system and web-based human resources systems currently utilized by the United States government.

In academia, Dr. Calabrisi has taught at the doctoral level for physicians and in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. His teaching affiliations include Saint Petersburg College, Penn Western University (PA), the University of Pittsburgh, and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Calabrisi is a passionate aviator and an instrument-rated pilot. He is also deeply devoted to animal welfare, actively rescuing cats and dogs at risk of being euthanized or abused. In his leisure time, he enjoys flying, playing golf, and cherishing moments with his family. He is happily married to his supportive wife, Janet, and together they have two wonderful children, Melinda and Andrew.
