My educational background includes having attended New College of Florida in Sarasota, the University of Florida in Gainesville, and the University of South Florida in Tampa, and I have taught Basic Writing and Composition I and II at St. Petersburg College since 2009.

I am most interested in helping my students genuinely learn the material, or beyond the material if they wish to, rather than just be able to pass the test.

My personal hobbies include Japanese culture, sentai, anime and animation, some gaming, comics and graphic novels, and a fairly eclectic range of literature (my focus in grad school was Mediæval/Renaissance, with as much Old English as I could get my hands on); my musical tastes range from Daniel Amos and Green Day to Jimmy Buffett and Lady Gaga and beyond.  ZBS' audio dramas, like Ruby and Jack Flanders, are also cool.  :)
