I was born in New Jersey and grew up in New York. My educational background is 35+ years of teaching experience. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Queens College in New York, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Phoenix.

My teaching philosophy as an educator is to inculcate a love of learning in my students, as I share my own fervor for learning with them. It is my desire to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, sustains risk-taking, and encourages emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.

On a personal note, my son graduated from FSU and now resides in St. Petersburg. My husband is a physician in the area and has been taking care of patients for over 25+ years. My interests are reading, bike riding, walking and going to the movies. I especially enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
