I am a product of the Pinellas County educational system with an A.A. in Police Administration from St.Petersburg Junior College, a B.A. from U.S.F. and a J.D. from Stetson College of Law. My professional life started in 1981 when I graduated from the Pinellas Police Academy and then worked as a police officer for the City of Madeira Beach until 1995 when I decided to attend law school. After graduating from law school in 1998, I began my legal career representing large companies against personal injury claims. I have since opened my own practice and now represent the Fraternal Order of Police as a union lawyer. I also practice in the areas of personal injury, family law and contract issues. Having missed law enforcement, I joined the Pinellas Park Police Department in 1998 and retired in 2015, but am now a reserve police officer with the Pinellas Park Police Department. I have found that keeping active in law enforcement provides for better representation for union members. My teaching philosophy is very simple; I try to balance curriculum objectives with practical experience. Outside of the classroom my interests are traveling and sport shooting.

My teaching philopshy is, and always has been, promoting the students' ability to be creative and to facilitate that creativeness with assignments that stimulate critical thinking. I have found the best way to present a class is to guide students with detailed instructions and resources to assist in the learing component. I also recognize that students learn in different ways, so I try to incorporate assignments into the class that highlight the learning differences of each student.
