As Adjunct Faculty I have been teaching Nursing IV Clinicals for SPC. I have been a nurse educator for 26 years teaching LPN students with Pinellas County Schools (PTEC) with specialty areas of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Oncology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics. My education includes a BA degree in Psychology, AS, BSN and MSN degree in nursing, followed by obtaining ARNP status. Presently I am working on my dissertation for a Doctoral Degree in Education. I continue to work as a staff nurse at Morton Plant Hospital on weekends in Obstetrics and enjoy this opportunity in maintaining my nursing skills. My nursing experience has included: charge nurse on a surgical unit; IV therapist; surgical nurse and first assistant; obstetrical nurse; and staff nurse at Moffit Cancer Center. I have also worked with two surgeons in an ENT and plastic surgery center.
I have four grown children, two boys and two girls, four grandchildren and four dogs. My interests are reading, research, writing and shopping with my Mother.
My teaching philosophy is: If your mind can conceive it, and your heart can believe it, then you can achieve it.
