Dr. Sheila Weagle is currently in the US Public Health Service stationed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Prior to joining the US Public Health Service, Dr. Weagle served over 11 years in the US Air Force as a Preventive Dentistry Officer as well as providing direct patient care to service members as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  In July 2007, Dr. Weagle earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College.  Dr. Weagle is a Certified Health Education Specialist with a Masters in Public Health from A.T. Still University (ATSU) as well as a Doctorate in Health Education.

Dr. Weagle is a highly decorated officer that has volunteered for remote, hostile, and overseas tours throughout her years of active duty service.  She has deployed with the Ebola Emergency Field Response Mission in West Africa.  Dr. Weagle was called to deploy at a moment’s notice with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during Hurricane Ida.  She has served on the USS Boxer in support of former Secretary Leavitt’s Health Diplomacy Initiative, Pacific Phase of the Continuing Promise Mission, providing clinical and health education services to host nations.  Dr. Weagle has served an extended remote tour at Osan AB, Korea as well as an overseas tour to Aviano AB, Italy.
