Tina has been a nurse since 1994. She graduated The Health Institute of Tampa Bay in 1994 as a LPN, St Petersburg Jr College in 2000 with an AA and AS degree, the University of South Florida with her BSN in 2004, her first Masters in nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2006 and her Nurse Practitioner from University of South Florida in 2008.

She has worked with all groups of patients in all aspects of nursing, but her main concentration is in pediatrics. She currently practices as a nationally Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in both primary care and urgent care settings.

She has served on many boards over the years including The Ryan White Care Counsel, Association for nurses in AIDS care where she has served as both President and Vice President. Additionally, she has presented for the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care 19th Annual Conference 2006, presenting Integrating Complementary and Alternative Therapies into the Plan of Care for People Living with HIV/AIDS with Co-Presenter Cherry Pfau.

She has been an Adjunct Professor for Galen College of Nursing and St Petersburg College.

When she is not teaching or working she enjoys time with family, friends, kayaking, and paddle boarding, biking and taking motorcycle trips. She has had the opportunity to explore many places including Alaska, Italy, Spain, Africa, France and Australia.

She is both a mother and grandmother. Including an adopted son that requires total medical care.
