I was born and raised in St. Petersburg. I attended the University of Florida where I received a degree in Biomedical Engineering prior to earning a second bachelors degree in Nursing from the University of North Florida. As a registered nurse I worked in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, as a home health nurse as well as a Community Health Nurse through the Pinellas County Health Department. I completed my Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida. Since completing my masters program I have practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a private office specializing in family and sports medicine. I am a proud mother of boy/girl twins and enjoy spending time away from work with my family riding bikes and going to Rays games.
