Dr. Rosales enjoys being an active member of several organizations including the Florida Nurses Association (FNA), Florida Healthcare Simulation Alliance (FHSA), volunteering for his local community, and being a Supervising Clinical Preceptor for Master Degree Candidates. Also, he sits on the Board of Directors as President of the Upsilon Psi Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), a national nursing honor society. His recent work with the chapter includes partnering with Delta Beta, the USF chapter in an effort to celebrate and develop nursing leaders in the community.

Dr. Rosales’ research interests include Peer Evaluation, Simulation, Technology, Informatics and QSEN. His most recent scholarly work includes a Modified Delphi Study to Determine QSEN Informatics Competencies Recommended for Associate Degree Nursing Curricula. Sixteen ADN faculty experts from different ACEN accredited schools of nursing in Florida participated in the study funded by The QSEN Institute. The research was accepted and presented at the 2017 QSEN National Forum and at the Delta Beta Annual Research Conference. In 2015, he authored Personalized Learning: Simulation, published by Personalized Learning Initiative, a grant based publication at St. Petersburg College. The publication discussed a strategy of using simulation to personalize student learning. Standardized simulations were developed that students could perform on their own time, without an educator present, as part of the course requirement. The strategy elicited student reflection and questions regarding clinical judgement. Also in 2015, he co-authored Time Out! QSENizing the Curriculum Requires Educating the Educator! The scholarly work was published by The QSEN Institute on their website as a teaching strategy and featured in a 2017 journal article published in Teaching and Learning in Nursing. The research was also accepted and presented at several national and local conferences.
