This is my first year teaching at St. Petersurg College and I am very much looking forward to it. Teaching history is a second career for me - prior to returning to graduate school I spent 15 years as a Registered Investment Advisor and Real Estate Analyst. 

Upon returning to graduate school I earned my M.A. in American Studies from the University of Southern Maine, and my PhD in History from the University of Maine at Orono. I am a member of several national and international honor societies, and also a member of the American Historical Society, Latin American Studies Association, Society of Historians of American Foreign Relations, and Southeast Council  on Latin American Studies.

I have taught at the University of Maine, the University of Southern Maine, and several colleges in the Greater Tampa area since moving to Florida in 2009 (a wise move). My research fields include Latin American History and U.S.-Latin American Relations. My teaching focus is on U.S. history and Latin American history.
