Greetings!  I have been adjunct  teaching at St. Pete College since 2014 and have been enjoying every minute of it!  I earned my Bachelor's Degree at Florida Gulf Coast University and began my career teaching elementary school in South St. Petersburg.  I eventually sought my graduate degree at the University of South Florida in St. Pete and began teaching high school English in 2009 in Pinellas County.  I stepped out of the role as teacher for a year to become a literacy coach in 2014.  In this role, my goal was to help teachers in their instructional practice.  This experience was amazing, but I found that I really missed having students and a classroom of my own, so I returned to the English classroom in 2015.  I don't just love reading, but I enjoy the appreciation of a good story in all its forms.  When students tell me they hate to read I immediately hear in my head, "challenge accepted!".  Other than reading, I also love a good run, time with my son and husband, and an interesting story to write!
