My educational background includes an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Kellogg Community College, a Bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Health Administration degree from A.T. Still University, and my Doctorate in Health Education in Health Professions from A.T. Still University. I have had the privilege of working within both private and public healthcare organizations, specifically in the oral health arena. I firmly believe that access to healthcare should be a basic human right, and due to this belief, I have a strong passion for public health initiatives. In addition to teaching online courses, I have 15 years of expereince as the School Oral Health Consultant for the State of Michigan where my responsibilities include managing a statewide school-based dental sealant program, and as a program director since 2022. As a past online learner, I can personally attest that students receive as much out of their online education as effort that they put into it. I believe that learning is across the lifespan, and I embrace every opportunity to make a difference within a life.
