Hello!

I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Florida in 2004. I graduated from St. Alexis Hospital School of Nursing with my RN diploma and have worked in many areas of nursing, including medical surgical, intensive care, emergency and pediatrics. After attaining my Master of Science in Nursing degree in 1997, I became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior to moving to St. Petersburg, and accepting a position in the trauma program at All Children's Hospital, I was employed in a private pediatric practice. I have taught at St Petersburg College since the fall ofof 2005. I received my Doctorate in Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in the Spring of 2008, and a Certified Nurse Educator in 2012. My special nursing interests are trauma/emergency nursing and pediatric nursing. Nursing has been an integral part of my life for many years and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with students. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy working on my house and yard. I also run and bike on the Pinellas trail. I live very close to the Gulf of Mexico, and go there often to kayak and walk the beach. I have a wonderful partner, John and three grown children. I am blessed with seven grandchildren-  Lucy, Harper, Finley, Claire, Everett, Holden and Avery
