Good afternoon, my name is Dr. Alicia Law, and I have had the pleasure of teaching at St. Petersburg college for approximately one year now. I enjoy teaching and look forward to every class. I have taught at three different colleges since 2012. Argosy University in Chicago and then at the Tampa campus, National Louis University in Chicago and then at the Tampa campus, and presently I am teaching at St. Pete, and temporarily at the International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI). At each of my colleges I have taught undergraduate business and sciences, and graduate and doctoral level business courses.  For 20 years prior to teaching I worked in the Environmental Sciences, Business Management and  Marketing fields in the private, public, and government sectors. I also owned by own business for five years. So I bring a diverse range of business and other experiences to the classroom. I think it is important as an instructor to not just teach out of a book, but use your experiences and world knowledge to educate the students.

My education is as follows:

Marycrest University, Davenport, IA
 B.S., Environmental Sciences/Business Administration, minor in Biology, May 1998
 B.A., Business Administration, minor in Accounting, May 1998
St. Ambrose University, Davenport, IA
 Masters of Business Administration, May 2007,
     Argosy University, Schaumburg, IL
Doctorate Business Administration (DBA) concentration: Management and Marketing, June 2013

Besides management and marketing experience, I have expertise is other areas as well:

Strategic Business Planning; Organizational Development & Change Management; Team Building, Team Leadership and Development and Team Training and Skills/Competencies Assessment; Business, Natural Resources and Environmental Research and Writing; Natural Resources, Sustainability and Environmental Management Planning; Marketing Research and Planning; Grant writing, Curriculum design, and Faculty Evaluation and Training and Development

I am also a mother of three grown daughters, three foster daughters, and three grandsons. I love nature, the environment, and love spending time outdoors.  I also love all animals. I have a cat Gordon, who also enjoys nature, but his interest in nature is more towards EATING nature rather than observing it. I also love swimming, especially in the ocean, walking and taking photos.
