I grew up on the south shore of Long Island in New York.  I graduated with a B.A. in English from Quinnipiac College (now University), located in Hamden, Connecticut.  I earned an M.S. in Reading and Special Education from Dowling College on Long Island.  After earning my Master's degree and NYS teaching certificate, I worked as a behavior analyst with children who have autism and was the assistant clinical supervisor of an A.B.A. program.

In May of 2007, my husband and I were both ready for a change, so we headed south for Florida!  I started my career with SPC as an adjunct at Seminole.  I am now a full-time faculty member at the Tarpon Springs campus where I teach Developmental Writing, Developmental Reading, and ENC 0027, the integrated developmental reading and writing course.  I love being in the classroom with my students and sharing my enthusiasm for learning.

While I will always be a New Yorker and an Islander at heart, I have come to love living in Florida.  My interests include health and fitness, cooking, eating delicious foods, traveling with my husband, reading, and rooting for the Tampa Bay Lightning (GO BOLTS!). I also run Bindi's Buddies, an organization that aims to make life better for pets and their people, which my husband and I started in memory of our beloved dog.
