SPC has a Supply Chain Management Advanced Technical Certificate that aligns to the Business Administration B.S. degree International Business subplan, as well as an introductory Supply Chain and Logistics Certificate. Many job opportunities in this broad field!
----------------------

Dr. Wende Huehn-Brown joined St. Petersburg College in March 2007 and is academically and professionally qualified to teach all the engineering technology and management courses.  She completed a B.S. (1990) and M.E. (1993) in Industrial Engineering at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and received a Ph.D. (2006) in Engineering Management at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T).

Dr. Brown has almost 20 years of professional engineering and management experience for a variety of organizations.  This background includes automotive, defense, government (legislative, universities, workforce and economic development agencies), research and consulting, non-profit organizations, and other manufacturing and service industries.  This experience supports her ability to integrate lesson theories with practical real business applications for an active learning environment.

The challenge in today's learning environment is transfering the physical or blended course experiences into entirely online courses. Dr. Brown earned an excellence award for Innovation in the Use of Technology by the League of Innovations due to the hundreds of pencasts, tutorials, and other videos created in the design of over 11 courses in the College of Business. These resources helped to improve online student success 21% without sacrificing rigor in learning standards.

Dr. Brown is also recognized for the creation of SPC's Sustainability Management B.A.S. program and Supply Chain Management certifications.  These two disciplines integrate business value in a cradle-to-cradle perspective considering the impact managerial decisions have on people, our environment, and finances.  She has written and presented several papers in this field.
