I have multiple years of teaching experience in developmental mathematics here at St. Petersburg College. I have taught here at the college since 2004. I have taught MAT 0012/0018, MAT 0024/0028, MAT 0022, and MAT 1033. In addition, I am the creator and coordinator of the Math Readiness Program and teach AAP 0018, AAP 0022, AAP 0028, and AAP 0033. For more details on the Math Readiness Program go to: http://www.spcollege.edu/mathready. I also teach technology classes and trainings for the Workforce Institute at St. Petersburg College.
I was a part of the team that created "Get Ready For College - Math", the first free "Massive Open Online Course" (MOOC) in the State of Florida. "Get Ready For College - Math" is a free course offered as a refresher for developmental mathematics. For more details go to: http://www.spcollege.edu/ready. This course was created by using content exclusively from my Math Readiness Program here at SPC.
In addition to teaching and coordinating the Math Readiness program here at SPC, I am also a Project Technologist/Instructional Support Manager for the Workforce & Professional Development department of the college. I support the faculty/staff in these departments for all of their technology needs, support/maintain computer labs containing more than 130 computers, as well as administer the St. Petersburg College Community Education System (SPCCES), our non-credit Learning Management System which uses the Desire2Learn (D2L) platform. I'm in charge of all of the technology and online courses/curriculum for the Workforce Institute at St. Petersburg College.
In my free time, I enjoy sports (I'm a HUGE Syracuse Orange and Miami Dolphins fan), biking, craft breweries, traveling, and enjoying time with my family, friends, and boston terriers Finley and Stella.
