Personal Statement

SPC is a special place for me.  I earned my A.A. degree here in 1989, graduating from the Interdisciplinary Studies Honors Program.  I was thrilled to be able to return to the college a decade later to teach.  I have a passion for law and writing, and I hope it comes through to my students.

The Intro to Paralegal class is a fast-paced look at Florida and federal law, with an empahsis on terminology and broad concepts.  I always try to relate the teaching points to practical concerns for legal professionals.  I hope this course will help you with a better understanding of our legal system and your potential role--whether as a paraelgal, a lawyer, or just an informed citizen.
