Joe Bruni is the Division Chief of Safety and Training with the City of St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue Department and a 35-year veteran of the fire service. His career as a firefighter started in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area. He has an A.S. in Fire Administration; a B.A. in Organizational Studies with a public leadership track; and a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in public administration. He has served two years in the Safety and Training Division as a Department Training Officer. During the course of his career he has been a member of the Pinellas County Hazardous Materials team and the St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue Technical Rescue Team. He is an instructor with the City of St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue Department, St. Petersburg College Fire Academy, the Pinellas Technical Education Center, and the St. Petersburg College Fire Science Department. Joe has developed many programs for St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue as well as St. Petersburg College.
