I am a native Floridian who grew up in Clearwater, Florida. I attended Tarpon Springs High School and St. Petersburg Junior College, from which I received my Associate’s degree in Architecture. I have my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in Telecommunications with a specialization in Television Operations Management with dual minors in Film and Business. While in college I worked for WUFT-TV and WJUF-FM Nature Coast 90 in Gainesville, Florida. I also interned at WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida and WCJB-TV in Gainesville, FL.
Upon graduation from college, I started working in film. Some of the jobs I held during this time include: grip, production assistant, script supervisor, production coordinator, sound engineer and location scout. In 2000, I shifted my focus back to television full-time with a job at the local Tampa Bay CBS affiliate WTSP-TV in St. Petersburg. As a member of the production crew, I rotated among different studio positions working in a number of different capacities (floor director, camera operator (manual and robotic), still store, prompter, tape operator, Chyron, editing, master control, and audio). After leaving WTSP in 2005, I began working at Nielsen Media Research as a Program Analyst in which I handled program ratings for all CBS and WB station affiliates in the United States. In 2003, inconjunction with working full time at WTSP, I started my career at St. Petersburg College working part-time on the Tarpon Springs Campus as an Audio/Visual Technician. I later moved to a Technical Resources Specialist at Tarpon and in 2007 to the Seminole Campus as part of the Student Services Team where I currently work full time in the Commons.
My hobbies include: being a huge automobile enthusiast and NASCAR fan; directing and producing content for public access television and anything "UF Gator" related.
