Biography


"I gain intense satisfaction and fulfillment by providing an educational service to adult college-bound and professional English language learners. A life purpose of mine is to do what I can to assist my students in attaining a better quality of life for themselves and their families. Being in my dream job here, I look forward to a long, fruitful working career at St. Petersburg College."

Dr. Jeanna Ojeda has 24+ years of college teaching experience and is Tarpon Campus SPC's Lead Faculty of EAP. EAP means "ESL for Academic Purposes" and its courses and curriculum focus on college and professional English language teaching and learning. 
Dr. Ojeda earned her Linguistics Ph.D. at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2004.
With the assistance of SPC Administration, she instituted the EAP Program of ESL courses at the S
PC Tarpon Springs Campus in 1999.

Establish SPC Student Status: Visit SPC's TESTING / REGISTRATION / COUNSELING
  1. Visit any SPC Administration with two proofs of residence AND a photo i.d.
  2. Complete an application form and pay a nominal charge of approximately $40
  3. Acquire a new student number
  4. Schedule time and day for placement test (English levels in reading writing grammar and listening)
  5. Rania Samartzis or another SPC Student Service Specialist will contact you soon by email. PLEASE check your e-mail for information about your test results and next steps needed at your earliest convenience to register for classes.
  6. You must return to St. Petersburg College to complete the registration process with any SPC Counselor/Advisor. Ask the Front Desk Receptionist: "I need to enroll in my ESL classes."
  7. After registering, submit payment. Students who register and pay early will receive a monetary credit at SPC’s Campus Barnes & Noble bookstore! See Below ... STEP 2 for PAYMENT details.
