Mr Luc Zio

I am a Statistician by training who has been teaching statistics the last ten years at SPC, clearwater Campus. My educational background includes a Master degree in Statistics at the University of Arkansas, a post-graduate Certificate in Survey Sampling at the University of Michigan, and also a post-graduate studies in Quality Engineering at the Unversity of Central Florida, Orlando.
My teaching phylosophy is to provide all that is needed for my students to learn and succeed. This includes the passion to learn and apply statistical methods to real world problems, hands on learning via carefully selected problems to reinforce and fully understand the statistical concepts, support as needed during the course and a clear opportunity to succeed in the course.
I have strong interests in applied statistics and also teach my students statistical data analysis skills with Microsoft EXCEL as well as web based statistical simulations software from major universities.
I have just finished an E-BOOK entitled "Statistical functions in EXCEL 2010". This is an excellent guide for students who want to learn how to use all advanced functions in EXCEL 2010 for projects and solving statistical problems. I highly recommend this to whoever is interested in applying the statistical concepts to real world problems. NO prior knowledge of EXCEL 2010 is required. In the book, I show you how to lauch EXCEL 2010 and the functions. The knowledge you need is statistical as well as properly selecting the parameters in the functions window.
Outside of Math and Statistics, I am interested in poetry and helping the least fortunate in my home country of Burkina Faso through my charitable organization, OUAGANET Inc in the areas of education, rural development, health and empowering women with donation of goats to raise.
