My educational training is in chemical engineering: BS from USC and PhD & ME from UF.  Plus addtl. graduate chemistry courses at USF. 

My background includes 28 years working in the chemical industry for Tennessee Eastman (3 mo.), Deepsea Ventures (10 mo.), Bacardi Rum (13 mo.), Burroughs Wellcome (3 yrs), and Albemarle (22+ yrs).  Assignments consisted of pilot plant work, technical service, trouble shooting, and process development.  Publications are few, but include 4 patents.

My teaching experience spans several years, working for USF, UT, HCC, and SPC (Gibbs, Seminole, & Clearwater).  My teaching philosophy is to instill in the student the rigorous thought processes needed to succeed in chemistry (and life).
