My name is Sandra Wise and I live in Sarasota. Prior to May 2008 I was the Provost for nursing and allied health programs at St. Petersburg College. I had been in this position since July 2000. My new position is with Argosy University as President of the Sarasota campus. I grew up near Toledo Ohio and lived there most of my life until I left Ohio and moved to Denver Colorado. While in Toledo, I received my Bachelor's degree in nursing from Bowling Green State University and my Master's degree in nursing from The Ohio State University--a tried and true Buckeye fan. Between Ohio and Colorado I completed my doctoral degree in Health Education. In Denver, I worked in the public health sector in many different capacities. While in Denver, I began to teach for the University of Phoenix as a practitioner faculty member. In 1995 I assumed the full time Deanship for the University and relocated to Phoenix. I have three daughters who are very active in school and competitive sports. My oldest daughter is currently employed by for a TV network in Boston. My second daughter is a Chemist and post doctoral student at University of Toronto and the youngest is an energy analyst in Seattle Washington.
