I have a Ph.D. in Statistics and have taught for many years at SPC and other colleges/universities in Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania.  I worked for 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry conducting clinical trials of human and animal drug products, and human medical devices. 

Prior to returning to full-time teaching in 2008, I was the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (2004-2008) and Program Director, Math and Natural Science, Clearwater Campus (2002-2004) at SPC.

My teaching philosophy focuses on active and collaborative learning; students learn by doing.  Face-to-face, blended  and online classes include group/team activities where students work together to master concepts. 

My interests include my volunteer work, my dog Vinny, keeping fit,  travel,  hiking, cooking and reading.
