My education background is a doctorate degree and a master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida in Tampa, a master’s degree in health services administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of London in the United Kingdom.

Along with my education in multiple disciplines, I have diverse experience in different professions and industries, including executive positions in outpatient rehabilitation and acute care facilities. Currently I am principal consultant and trainer in an environmental and occupational health and safety consulting practice. My work includes risk assessment and control of workplace hazards such as chemical exposures and heat stress. I am a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer (CET).

My teaching philosophy is incorporated in three principles:

  • Teach for understanding and thinking.
  • Strive to achieve the four E's in every class - educational and entertaining materials + enthusiastic and engaging instructor.
  • Aim at continuous improvement as learning is a journey.

My interests are my engagements in self-improvement through non-profit organizations like Toastmasters International and Better Trainers, which help their members improve communication and leadership skills and training and facilitation skills, respectively. As for hobbies, I like photography, traveling, and watching automobile racing.
