Instructional Technologist November – St. Petersburg College 2010 – Present
As a recent hire in the Health Information Management department, I will assist in the redesign and redevelopment of online training materials and training modules using the ADDIE and ASSURE Instructional Design Models for implementation into a learning management system (LMS). The online training will be supplemented with materials that include web-based applications, software imbedded training, and web-based tutorials.
Adjunct Instructor – St. Petersburg College 2009-2010
As an adjunct instructor at SPC, I teach EME 2040 Introduction to Education Technology as a blended-learning course. I developed the course syllabus that includes the course objectives, course outline, overview of assignments, and course policies. The course consists of in-class lectures, hands-on activities, cooperative group work, online discussions, end-of-chapter quizzes, and relevant news articles shared on a weekly basis by the students. The students are required to complete two cumulative final projects that evaluate the student's ability to analyze and apply the knowledge gained in class.
Trainer – St. Petersburg College 2008-2010
While working for SPC's Center for Public Safety Innovation, I developed and implemented training sessions and tutored fellow co-workers on the following software programs; Captivate, SharePoint, Raptivity, Adobe Dreamweaver, ANGEL®, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and other software as needed.
Third Grade Teacher – Pinellas County Schools 2005
During my time as a third grade teacher, I planned and conducted activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provided students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate. The lessons I prepared for instruction followed curriculum guidelines and the requirements of the state and school. This experience allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of elementary school programs. I conducted activities that included the use of computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
