I've recently joined the team of SPC faculty and my mission is to assist each one of my students in not only achieving their goals of successfully learning the content of this course, but also in becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers.  

I earned my bachelors degree in Mathematics from Louisiana State University in 1993.  Upon graduating, I worked as a Systems Engineer for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in St. Louis, MO and Atlanta, GA.   I retired from EDS after 6 gratifying years to move to Florida and stay home and raise my two boys.  

In 2010, my family moved to Costa Rica for two years to immerse ourselves in a different culture, learn a different language, and explore the rainforests, volcanoes, cloud forests and beaches.  I became close friends with many locals by teaching Zumba classes in the small town of Atenas, and gained a deep respect for the people, their traditions, and their overall outlook on life.  

In the Spring of 2013, I began working as an adjunct instructor for SPC by substituting Math classes.  This Fall will be my first semester with classes of my own.  I have a strong committment to see my students succeed, and will enjoy sharing all I know with them.
