I was elected by my fellow students at both SPC and EWC as the Student Government Association (SGA) President and also as the Florida College Student Government Association (FCSGA--Formerly called FJCCSGA) District III Coordinator. In fact, on Wednesday, April 24, 2002, I became the first White person in the history of America ever elected SGA President at any of the over 100 Historically Black Colleges that have ever existed. Over a decade later, I am still so far the only.
I have served with several community service missions, humanitarian projects, and church ministries (serving veterans and also serving the homeless are two of the most important to me). Also, I have served on short-term mission trips to Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. Although I am not fluent, I speak a little French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. My four-year-old Haitian brother helps me to continuously improve. I also speak some Iran Persian Farsi, Arabic, and some other languages, too. I thoroughly enjoy various cultures.
I am pursuing my goal of gaining acceptance to medical school. Eventually, I hope to serve as a doctor with the Christian Community Health Fellowship (CCHF) as an American Medical Missionary right here on American soil for Medically Underserved and Economically Disadvantaged people who otherwise might not have access to quality healthcare.
Indeed, I have accomplished some awesome goals in my life. I have also made some temporary stumbles. However, by God's Forgiveness, Love, Grace, and Mercy as expressed through Jesus Christ, I have learned the power of forgiveness and been renewed, and that is what fuels my passion for serving others and treating everyone with respect (including people who are very different from me, or who hold views very different from mine).
