My name is Sandra J. Gonterman-Spagnolo.  I was born in Evansville, Indiana.  I have a brother in Indiana and a sister in Phoenix, Arizona (who is an RN as well).  I had the best parents ever who were educators!   I went to Mexico to live summers with a local family and studied Spanish.  I became fluent at that time. When I studied at the University of New Mexico-Spanish and Portuguese, as well as Biblical studies at a Christian college.  Nursing became an interest as well so I pursued a Bachelors of Science.

I have 2 grown daughters in the medical profession in Indiana.  I received a Masters in Nursing as well as a NP and CNS in Women's Health practicing at a Women's hospital and OB-GYN in Indiana.  I have been an adjunct nursing instructor  since 2006 at several universities in the area.

I enjoy teaching and encouraging students in the field of nursing.  The profession is a difficult but a giving and caring one, as well as one requiring critical thinking and decision making.  Nursing school is very hard and each of you need support and direction.  That is my job!

I look forward to getting to know each of you!  Never hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns or thoughts!
