540 CHM2046L
- course content
- He made Chem 2 interesting!
- First of all, I would like to point out that there was no confusion at all with Dr. Spadola's accent. He is a very sweet, and funny professor who was always prepared for our class. He made challenging topics fun and always had an introduction to the topic to help you understand as well. I enjoyed how this course/lab encouraged me to think differently than I would have in lecture. The topics that I did not understand in lecture I now understand because of how the lab was set up and very hands on.
- This course if very hands on and it makes us understand the subject better as we perform experiments.
- No strengths in this course.
- Professor clearly has a good understanding of the material, yet doesn't effectively communicate his knowledge with the class
- The content and what was required to turn in was appropriate. I do like how we worked as a table and only turned in a lab report worksheet instead of a full blown report individually. I also think the instructor did a great job explaining what the lab was going to do each week and give examples. I would like the instructor to know that there was a lot of unintelligent misbehaving idiots in my lab that were disrespectful and rude to you and the class and regardless of what they put in the survey should be taken as a grain of salt because without asking my constantly for help, they wouldn't have passed the class since they seem to have their heads up their butt instead of in the actual class.
- I liked the challenge of losing points if you got the wrong elements in the experiments that way it challenges the best work
- his teaching skill
- No strengths
- the beginning of every class the professor provided an over view of all the expected goals by the end of class
- professor Spadola was able to convey the material in an engaging and easy to understand manner.
- He is very nice and doesn’t penalize you for late work, all he cares about is if you understand the material.
- The professor was very helpful when the students would ask questions.

-I want to preface this with saying that I really love chemistry and science and have taken many science classes. When I enrolled in the class I was extremely excited to go more in depth in chemistry especially since I am planning on taking more advanced chemistry classes. Unfortunately professor Spadola has made this extremely difficult and really regret taking his course. There is absolutely no reason to go to class due to his lack of teaching skills and extremely hard accent to understand. He seems completely unprepared for each class and I have a difficult time following what is being covered in class. Its really upsetting because I have to go to his class to learn close to nothing and take extra time to teach my self the material after class because attendance is mandatory but each class seems more pointless than the last. I am not the only one in the class saying this and his average test scores will show the truth. Hopefully professor Spadola will find a teaching method that will help others because as of now they are not.
-Consistency in the test format.

-I love Mr. Spadola. he's my favorite teacher. His strength is his knowledge.
-Over all the class went well. There was an obvious Language barrier, but I see through that. You have a wonderful personality, and the heart of a teacher. I think those who genuinely tried to learn did, and those who did not want to learn or were focused on petty distractions didn’t. Fair enough, no?
-The course content is the strength, and my instructor as well. He does his best to make sure we all understand what he is teaching.
-power points and worksheets were very helpful
-good teacher
-SPC 60 year history of Academic Excellence!

495 – CHM1025L Introductory Chemistry Lab (Class # 4834 and 161)
-Professor Spadola is a brilliant man. He is one of the most knowledgeable and informative teachers I have had in my college career. Some student said they couldnt understand what to do during the experiments (assuming due to his heavy accent) but as long as you read the instructions before class, like we are suppose to, he was easily understood. Also, he did a great job at explaining what we learned in our lecture, like balancing of equations, is what is physically happening in front of our eyes, during each experiment. Great teacher!
-Mr. Spadola wants his students to succeed. He efficiently prepared his students for the lab experiments. This professor is educated and passionate about Chemistry. He encouraged students to ask for help and never neglected to share his knowledge when questions were asked. ---He makes the course interesting by applying Chemistry to real life situations.
-The experiments that the class conducted were well organized, and informative.
-He understood what he was teaching and he understands chemistry. But... He had no idea how to answer questions properly. I would ask a question and his answer wouldn't even be relevent to what I was asking... It's like he didn't understand my words.
-Instructor explains well
