After working in the private sector for several years and tutoring privately for over 20 years, I made the decision to return to school to complete my college education.

I returned to St. Petersburg College, taking a class in statistics and found that I really enjoyed taking classes again. Realizing that it would be wise to pursue a degree along the way through other coursework, I discovered my passion for economics and for helping students to learn the economic way of thinking.

I received both my A.A. in Mathematics and B.A.S in Technology Management from St. Petersburg College. I continued my education at the University of South Florida and earned a Master's degree in Business Economics. Currently, I am a 4th year PhD student in the Economics department at USF and am working on my dissertation in the field of health economics.

My professional associations include the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the American Economic Association Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession, and the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society.

While teaching economics is my passion and personally very rewarding, it is of equal importance to my professional vision to create and use innovative teaching techniques to convey that economics is a way of thinking about problems and choices that students will use throughout their lives.
