I graduated from Springfield Technical Community College (Springfield, MA) with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene. Knowing that teaching was my calling, I enrolled at the University of Missouri at Kansas city where I earned my B.S in Dental Hygiene Education. Love and marriage brought me to Florida in 1980, and I have been teaching full-time at SPC since the fall of 1981. In 1985, I received my M.Ed in Administration and Supervision from the University of South Florida. In 2004, SPC began the BASDH degree completion program for dental hygienists, and I transitioned from the A.S. entry level program, to the bachelor's program.  I helped develop the program from its inception, and have created and implemented much of the curriculum. I am committed to excellence in teaching and I strive to connect with students in any way that best enhances their learning and their educational experience at SPC!

Outside of my teaching life, I have many interests that keep me busy...my husband, Mike, and our daughters, Alyssa and Jenna being the most important! My family is the light of my life...we enjoy sports, music, outdoor activities, travel, and especially taking our boat out in the water wonderland that is Florida!
